A new dawn for fighting corruption?

While the new reality in America is that people are no longer surprised to see their President return from a government trip to Qatar with a Boeing worth millions for his personal use, is there hope that Europe could become the next leader in the global fight against corruption?  Europe has previously championed European values, like privacy, through the GDPR and is also taking on the American tech giants with the Digital Services Act and the AI Act. On March 26, the European Parliament adopted the EU anti-corruption directive, the first EU-wide law to protect our continent against corruption. What does the new directive mean for Europe and the Netherlands?
