French-speaking Brussels Enterprise Court's judgment of 7 December 2020, consumer organization Test-Achats v. Ryanair (A/19/02564)
The ninth class action ever brought in Belgium was brought by the Belgian consumer organisation Test-Achats against Ryanair in relation to flight delays and cancellations resulting from the strikes during the summer of 2018 on the basis of alleged violations of the Flight Compensation Regulation.
In a judgment dated 7 December 2020, a Court ruled for the first time on international jurisdiction in the context of a class action.
